    Hamster Qs
    Hello

I have a friend, he says a lot of things...
The other day he said a hamster could kill a rat by jumping on its back and biting its neck. This seems a bit silly to me, the largest animal I could find that they eat using Google was locusts. Does this actually happen or is he making things up again?

Also does anyone know the official line on hamsters and citrus fruits - I've been getting mixed messages.

    Any help/ opinions welcome

    Cheers

I wuold say that the rat would be the one killing a hamster. However, there can be significant damage done to either animal by the other animal. Hamsters are very territorial and can get aggressive even with their own species.

Do be honest I think a hamster could kill a rat by biting it there bites are harsh! But it wouldn't eat it and all I no about the citrus fruit thing is that Hamsters aren't allowed any citrus fruits.

Please contact me and say if I've been any help? X
