Lost 401k

The company I used to work for filed bankruptcy 2yrs ago. I am unable to get information from them and i have lost my paperwork from moving. Is there any other way I can receive my 401k information.

Do you know who the plan administrator is? Typically it would be an investment firm, bank, or insurance company. If you can remember that, then you can contact them to see how to update your address with them. Or if you are in touch with any other employes of the company you can ask them who the administrator was. Finally,if you haven't been receiving quarterly statements from the administrator they may now consider you lost, in which case you may find that your account has been turned over to the state as an unclaimed asset. Most (all?) sates have on-line tools to help people find lost assets - do a web search on your state name and "unclaimed assets" and you should find out how to reconnect with old financial accounts.
