The two bodies of Christ

Christ has two bodies. He presented the first one, born of the virgin Mary, as the perfect and complete sacrifice for the sins of mankind. That body was then resurrected and went back to the Father in Heaven.

But what about His second body? He does have one.

1 Cor 12:27
27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
(KJV)

What Christ did while ministering here in His first body, He can, and will do through His second body, the Church. (Let's not get denominational here. That doesn't count for anything at all.)

John 14:12
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
(KJV)

Mark 16:17-18
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
(KJV)

Cool. But i'm not very good at reading between the lines. What is his second body?

Jesus' second body is the Church. Not a denomination, but a body of born-again believers who may come from any Christian organization.
My main point deals with what that body of believers is to do in this world.

yes, that body is one body. and i believe it's one mind, that of god's. the 'greater things' which they do, i think, is jesus working his will and power through our bodies.

1Cor 12:12 " For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members
of one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13, For by one Spirit we
were all baptied into one body--whether Jew or greeks, whether slaves or free--
and have all been made to drink into one Spirt."

We all become one body, and one spirit, if we are a child of God.
As a child of God we all have gifts and the Lord wants us to use them.
My husband has lad hands on the sick and God healed them. We also
speak with new tongues.

Thanks for the testimony.

Exactly what I hope to emphasize.

(KJV)
1 John 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, [even] Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

The Spirit is truth correct?

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me

The Spirit of truth comes from the Father right?

We understand that we all are born of water and blood correct? So if Christ was born of water, and blood like us here on earth... Was He not begotten of God and instead born as Seth was from Adam? OR was Christ begotten of the Spirit of truth and born of water /HOLY SPIRIT and Blood/Man to walk as Emmanuel

1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are ONE.

1 John 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in ONE.

The church is a many membered body that equals the fellowship that each converted believer is by being in Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

That is shown in Acts when the Spirit of the LORD caught away from Philip after the eunuch came up out of the water in baptism.

Acts 8:39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

The church are those followers who are sanctified in Christ Jesus
