depends on the face (sometimes they just dont look good with certain faces ya know?) otherwise i think they are pretty cool. its eyebrows or tongues im not a fan of, but then they dont bother my much either lol.

Wow, you sure seem to have a good head on your shoulders. I would personally never get a body piercing anywhere other than my ears, but I do believe everyone has the right to make their own decisions on how they want to look. I don't think your lip rings have anything to do with how he feels, you said you've been friends for 8 years, maybe he's afraid of dating you because if things don't work out he'll not only loose a girlfriend but a friend. I applaud you for not being willing to change yourself for anyone, and for being happy with who you are, you go girl.
