Ya he should like you for who you are, but mebe piercings arnt something he is attracted to and it isnt his fault he has that opinion. Its like saying if i wasnt attracted to a smoker.... i mean shouldnt I like them for them?

My opinion superficial stuff like that doesnt matter. you are who you are regardless of how you look.

The lip rings give you a certain appearance and will not be attractive to some but will to others.
First impressions count for a lot. I personally don't have a problem with them but I know others who do.

I'm not a big fan of lip rings or anything, but ive dated girls with lip, eyebrow, nose, and tongue piercings. But I definately don't base those on a relationship either.

You're also assuming that he's telling the truth. If I didn't want to date you because you weren't my type, I might just say it's your lip rings just to spare your feelings. Has that occured to you?

Of he is not attracted to lip rings, that is his prerogative. I would not look twice at someone with them. It does not mean I'm downing or judging them, I just don't find that kind of thing attractive.

The thing is ive known him for 8 years of My life. He had to move and was gone for 3 years People change and we have Been getting to know eachother again

Lol. well said popcorn. Ya if someone said to me that something about me wasn't attractive or 'scared' them id be kinda offended. And I agree shouldnt judge a book by the cover. But hey, some people dont find piercings attractive. Can't be helped. Just be confident in who you are, and obviously you guys seem to be friends so he isnt just going to STOP talking to you. Maybe he will get a chance to see some of whats in your book and the cover wont scare him as much ya know?
