I am curious. I believe myself to be a pretty smart individual and have a pretty firm idea why females do this but I want some other opinions. I find myself in a situation where I am in a break with a girl. We still talk and flirt and do favors(not sexual) but actual nice things for each other. Every girl I know is yelling at me telling me that this girl is just playing me and that I am to nice of a guy to let her do this. I am a successful 25 year old who is athletic and never had a problem getting girls. It just seems that every single girl and every want to be single girl is giving me advice and swarming over me. All their advice is the same too. LEAVE HER SHE ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU! I feel like a dead animal with vultures around me!
well... they probably know when they call a break, and if they were acting that way, that they were mostly using you for the attention.
they might be right, you know.
my grandmother used to say "girls are mean and boys are stupid"...
she was so damn right.
now... if you KNOW that the girl is mostly keeping you close cause she likes the attention, and you arent too connected, then maybe its fine for you to pass the time. it is possible to flirt and be playful and not have problems.
but if you could be putting that energy into a relationship that was actually going someplace, well then maybe its not the best idea. or maybe it is. again... you dont NEED to be in a relationship if you are fine with the break and simply are passing the time.
A break where you are still hanging around waiting for you to get back together, as nice as it feels to you, is not that healthy. You still have all your emotions tied up in her, amd not living your own life. Be less available in a big way to this female, so she can make up her mind, and not hold on to you till something better comes along.
