I think guys feel intimidated when they allow another person to take away their "power".
A very attractive woman might be intimidating to a guy if he thinks she has the power to reject him, ridicule him, or somehow diminish his status.

Some guys get it early, or are simply "naturals" with women. Some men struggle with these issues through their entire life and never quite get it figured out.
You can only be intimidated if you let it happen. So once you feel good about yourself there is no reason to feel that way. In fact you can use it to make your own life much better. If its looks then you can walk around with a 10 cool, if its money then fantastic you don't have to worry about paying the bills each month. If its education then learn from them and build your own power from them.
Face it, we are all different and thats what makes life exciting.
