    Taking a break
    My boyfriend recently asked that we take a break. He tells me that he still wants to talk to me and be friends and hang out. But the only time he talks to me is if I talk to him first. We've been on a break for a week now and sometimes I feel like it's awkward when we talk. How can I get past this awkwardness and start a new friendship with him and eventually develop it back into a relationship?

    Give him space and let him come to you first. If he doesn't then he didn't really want to stay friends and he was trying to spare your feelings.

    I agree with MommyLeah.

    If you pursue him, he will just become more distant and agitated.

    I make it unanimous, leaving him alone, and having your own things to do and enjoy, is the way to go.
