    Still Dreaming of Her
So I've been broken up for over 6 weeks and I am still having dreams about her all the time. Nothing bad, mostly they are about us hanging out, still broken up, and me trying to talk to her about it. Or we are hanging out having a good time, and then I say something like why aren't we together and then she just says no. I have not been contacting her, and I do think about her during the day sometimes, but these dreams are killing me. I wake up and she's on my mind, and the dreams are saddening because we are together but not together.

    What to do?

These feelings will pass, as for now read the stickies at the top of the forum. Joining a gym will help a lot because you become to tired to even think of dreaming

The dreams will become less frequent but just give it time. Try and occupy your mind during the days with other things and whenever you end up thinking about her just try and divert your attention. Take all things that might remind you of her out of sight and with time she will be out of mind as well. For me its almost 3 months and more than 2 with NC. I still get some dreams occasionally but its usually when something that reminded of her happened during the day. It definitely gets better though. As romefalls said exercising will help a lot. Hang on in there. We have all been where you are now and I can tell you it gets better with time.

Dreaming is a natural process where our brain "sorts" itself out while we sleep. A breakup can be quite a shock to the system and dreaming about your ex is a given as your subconscious tries to make sense of what happened. Just give it time-their frequency will diminish over time. I too had dreams about my ex. They seemed so real-we were working things out and getting back together, but then I woke up and reality sets in again. I've been No Contact with my ex for over four months-it's not easy but it did me a world of good. Nothing you can make your ex love you again-I've been there and done that. Just hang in there and stay strong.
    Take Care,

As you get busy doing other things you enjoy, the dreams will fade.

I still have dreams once in a while about this little red haired cheer leader from high school. We have to remember not to confuse dreams with real life. Often our dreams are merely an escape from real life or what we would like to be.

They will slow or even stop, time will make it better
