Possible long distance relationship.should I just leave him now?

My boyfriend of 2 1/2 years told me today he is thinking about moving away. It was quite a shock since just two days ago we talked about our future plans together. We have had a rough relationship and we have just stared on working to make it better and now he wants to move away. He says that in two years I can move with him since I have to stay here now because I just accepted a job to teach and I have to be here for two years to get all my certification. To be quite honest I don't want to deal with a long distance relationship now...maybe if our relationship was stronger I would feel more comfortable but we are just starting to rebuild and how can we possibly do that when he is in another state. I told him he might as well leave me now because I know I won't be able to deal with it. I don't know if I am being fair or not but it just always seems like he makes the decisions and I just follow. He didn't even discuss it with me first. We have talked about marriage and doing it soon but I guess his plans are different now. I asked him why couldn’t he just wait here for two years and his reply was why can't He wait in another state and then I join him. He's not thinking of if I move to another state then I have to start all over with my teaching certification there. Maybe it's just best If we end the relationship now because I don't want to hinder his decision for something that can honestly make his life better for me...or should I feel this way?

I'd definitely stay and get your certification. Keep in touch with him on the phone as friends, but if you find someone else, go for it.
