Mean Messages After Nasty Breakup

My boyfriend and I dated a little over a year. I moved in with him and left after only three months. We almost got back together but I couldn't make up my mind. I just avoided him because he was so overbearing and I was afraid he'd never change. After we broke up, a coworker of his and I started talking and we hit it off right away. He's amazing and we've been talking ever since. It's been a few months now and I'm really happy. My career is taking off and I have a great guy who is very sweet to me. Only problem is people are continuing to leave nasty messages all over my ex's page about me. They call me a cheater, a tramp, a whore, among other things. These people don't even know me, they only know what my ex told them. I'm a very nice, genuine person. I tried to message these people to tell them that what they're doing is unfair and hurtful, that they don't even know me. I even tried to explain why I left. Let's just say that I was hurt even more by the messages they responded with. One of them is even trying to threaten my career! I don't know what to do besides ignore them but it really hurts my feelings to see those messages and know that he's turning people against me...Is there anything else I can do?

Ignore them. and ignore whatever your ex says..
You don't have to defend yourself to a bunch of strangers - and your ex is only showing how mature he is with his actions..The more you show him how much it bothers you, the more it will fuel more and more of these comments.
Things are looking up for you, focus on your new life and yourself and your ex will eventually get bored once he see's you're not reacting to his actions.

Life is to short..why care about some low lives...who didnt even meet you before. Why be hurtful when you know the real side of you. Only God [which is Allah (S.W.T)] which knows what's in your heart. If you know that you didnt do anything wrong. Then F*** off.. you know your special and you are human. You have feelings and is always touched by things. But come on, strangers and idoits like those, you care of what they do. I mean come on, is like loving your enemies. THey will get sick of it, if you stop messanging them back and explaining your self. Live your life, have fun, change your email or whatever, for them to stop emailing you, or you know leave it, and move on. let your career stay, stay with the guy you love, get married, have a family, and by that time, you'll know you diid the right thing.

First be very glad he is not a romantic partner and then don't worry about him. I think people who know you both know the deal here and if they don't, so what who needs them any way.

I guess I don't understand why people look in the dungeon and then are horrified to find corpses there. What else would be there?

Stay off the websites your enemies frequent. Completely. It's their dungeon and you have a real life, right? Who cares what they do in their dungeon. It's also their prison. In a way, it's them punishing themselves by continuing to focus on you...hehe.

You're life progressing and moving on and being unaffected by their rotting smelly corpsiness is the the lot they have to bear. They can only hurt you if you go in their dungeon. And you're not going to do that anymore, are you!?
