I`m still thinking of my high school sweetheart after 4 years,why?

My name is Denisse and I need an advice from some experienced people.I met this boy in high school and at the beginning I hated him..but after months we met at the disco and we started going out.We had a relationship for 7 months then we broke up.Now he has a girlfriend at College.I`m single ...I`m not suffering so badly but I wish we could stay together...Whne we meet at the disco and we drink too much we are getting very closed and almost evry time we kiss...I know I might seem...not a good girl...but I miss the time when we were together.my question is WILL I EVER START SEEING HIM JUST AS AN OLD FRIEND?I want to have a boyfriend.Honestly I really don`t know what I feel for him.I forgot to say that we have a pure relationship,without sex.ThanksI will be waiting for advice.

And what are you doing with your life, that you still have time to wonder about an ex? While it's normal to remember those good times, its also important to be making some new "good time" memories. Look ahead, and live and enjoy, and let things fall into place naturally.

"I want a boyfriend"..I think this is the key to your questions. You want a relationship, and he is convenient. He is someone safe that you are familiar with and couple with the fact that he isn't technically available it can be very maddening and intoxicating. We all want what we can't have (ie: he has a girlfriend).

Honey, I'm a grandmother and I still remember childhood sweethearts - it's called memories. Nothing wrong with that. Doesn't mean you can't fall in love with someone else.
