Time to see if there is better

hey, my girlfriend and i have been fighting like twice a week for the past to weeks and she feels like she isn't being treated the way i should treat her. now she is telling me she needs time to see if this is all and if there is someone better. i really hate the fact that she wants to try dating someone else and i know she isn't cheating on me cause we talk truthfully to eachother. i just don't know what to do here cause i told her that if we take a break and she starts seeing other people that i would "lock the door" on our relationship. did i do the right thing, what should i do?

Yes you did the right thing. BUT if she wants a break you need to let her have it otherwise she is just going to be miserable and end up making life miserable for you. You don't want a caged tiger. Let her take the break but let her know that IF this, if that, scenerios are things that will keep you from working things out if she ever wants back.
