haven't talked to my ex in 15 years

last week my ex boyfriend tracked me down, we were each others first love and were together for two years. after we broke up i was devestated. about a year later we talked on the phone but never got back together or talked to each other for 15 years! when my phone rang and my ex's name showed on the caller id i didn't know what to think. all these emotions were spinning around in my head. we talked for two hours and that same night he emailed me telling me he was glad we talked and that i can email or call him anytime. the reason why i am confused is because he has a serious girl in his life now and i always thought that women and men can't be just friends. so for him to call me after all this time, i am shocked. i still have feelings for him, i have never stopped loving him. i am happy that he is happy but i can't help but wonder what it would be like if we were together. is this normal and why do you think he tracked me down, if he has someone? help, -melissa

Men and women can be friends, its whether or not both parties are willing to accept that......is the real question. As for him reaching out after 15 years there maybe something there, I would not read into it anymore though. He may just want to be friends......

As mckenzie asked.....are you involved with someone right now? If so why ponder the thought of pursuing him? He is with someone, take this as a start of a friendship and go at it day by day. See where that takes you and don't expect anything more

Did you ever ask him? How serious are him and this girl? That is kinda weird that he tracked you down after so long. Why dont you ask him if he still has feelings for you? I know feeling and emotions are sturing in your head, but did you ever stop to think that he is not the same person after 15years? And i do think that a man and a woman can just be friends my best friend is a male. I think you need to look more into the situation. Are you seeing anyone?
