Guy of my dreams

Asked Jun 6, 2008, 12:30 PM — 4 Answers
Ok so a guy lives across the street from me. And he has lived there for almost 13 years. And now he is going to be a senior and I'm going to be a sophmore. Here's the thing, we talk somethimes when we run into each other but he is just perfect for me. I have liked him since I was....3 years old haha. And now that its his last year before college....I mean I've had other boyfriends and I just ended my last relationship but I think I want to go for him finally. But I don't know how to start it off, how to flirt without coming on too strong or anything. I need help! Any advice?

Wow, I didn't even realize that you could like someone else at 3 years old. But here's what I suggest, since it's summer coming up (or if you live in Florida it's been here for a month) tell him next time your talking to him that your hot and only one thing will cool you down. This will grab his attention and he will probably ask "What is that?" Then tell him "ice cream." Then tell him you going to Baskin Robbins (or whatever local ice cream place) and you buying so if he wants to come now's his chance. See where that takes you.

Haha, chuff... This is going to quikly turn into that "worst pick up lines" thread... Lol.
But chuffs idea might be what you consider "too strong."

I would say to talk to him more, maybe set up a date, BUT don't call it a date. Just begin by doing something together. Next time you see him, say hi, and start a conversation. See what he likes, and try to build on that, and figure out an activity you two can do and enjoy together.
This may be weird to you, a girl asking a guy out (not common where I am), but try to get what you want (him).

My last girlfriend asked me to go to her church youth group, and that was how we met out of school a couple times before we began dating. But, the thing is, is she really started the relationship, even though I asked her to be my g/f.

Most guys wouldn't turn down a date, if only girls would ask more often...

Whatever you do. Don't let him get away. If you think this guy could be the one, then I say go for it. Trust me you will always wonder if you made the right decision by not acting on it. If he rejects you then you know the truth and will never wonder. Don't be afraid of rejection. It happens to everyone!
