Hi so I"m a junior in high school and i just recently broke up with my boyfriend. It just wasn't working anymore and he agreed so it ended. It was a 7 month long relationship and i really loved him... but we just were not right for each other...

Anyway, I went to a basketball tournament the day after we broke up and he was there. It was no big deal and it was fine. When i got home though i had text messages from people who were there saying that he said that he dumped me and it was all my fault and if wanted him back that i'm going to need to fight for him and just a bunch of BS.

Then the next day (today) at basketball i got there and i sat down by one of my friends and he happened to be sitting above me... He then started talking about how went to this party the past night and he started to ask different people for hook-ups and weed. (note: he doesn't even drink or smoke weed) Then loud enough so i could hear he said that he was going to this local pool place and his other ex girlfriend was going to be there and he was going to "pick that up." (and another note: she has a boyfriend) So then he leaves to go to his little party and one of his friends comes down and i just started talking to him.

I asked his friend why he was drinking and smoking weed now and he told me that 2 weeks ago when i was in Idaho for a track meet, he went to this pool place and cheated on me. I guess he grabbed this girls hand and was placing it on his face and running it down his whole body...They didnt kiss or anything but i guess he was all over her all touchy and trying to hold her hand and even went far enough to say that "she could have all this whenever she wanted"

When I heard this it just made me uncontrollably sad. I did not expect that all all from him. Me and him never had sex. He brought it up all the time but it never happened because I didn't want to. He said he was fine with it but I guess not...

I just don't know what to do... I want to text him and I want to hurt him and I want to do all of these horrible things to him but I am just so lost... Please just give me some advise. :'(

Forget about him and his ridiculous immaturity. This kind of behavior from him just shows how immature he is and should enforce in you how much better off you are without him. Forget him and don't get sucked into his crap. Move forward with your life and find someone who isn't such a jerk.

He's trying to make you jealous and it's working. He's just talking smack so that you will get upset. If you play into his game and text him, then he won. You want the upper hand. Ignore all of this and show him that you are more mature than he is.

It is very sad that the person you were into isn't the good person you thought he was and it's important not to let his antics make you play his game of getting a reaction from you. The best revenge from this kind of immature behavior is to ignore him and be happy with your new found freedom.

The dust will settle on your emotions and you will not be manipulated by him, his words, or actions, or lies, and games. Like you said, you just weren't clicking as a couple anyway, and I guess you won't click as friends so leave him to his own stupidity and drama.

Thank you guys, soooo much! I'm going to get threw this and he most likely won't. About getting my new found freedom back is absolutely true! I have been making plans with various friends all morning while he is probably puking his guts up... You all have really help me see the light! :) thanks!
