Doing something nice for my Boyfriend

I need some insite from people. I know my boyfriend hates it when i do nice things for him, and i cant figure out why. Hes says i do to much for him, because he cant do alot for me, but what he doesnt understand him just being in my life means more to me then you could ever know. Just being there for me all the time is all i need. He means the world to me and I know he feels the same for me. The past couple of months have been really hard on him with some personal issues, and some of them are because i am in his life. (His childrens mother has been giving him a real hard time with the kids because im in his life) But i really dont want to get in to that. But I want to do something nice for him. He is a die hard New York Giants fan, i know i know i make fun of him all the time...lol...I dont have a lot of money, and the whole dinner and sexy underwear thing gets old after awhile you know? Anyone got any ideas? If you do please let me know....

I understand that you like to do nice things for him, he just feels that you are giving him more than he can give you. It may make him feel like less of a provider, you know what I mean? I give my husband gifts all the time and he doesnt understand why, and its just because I love him and want him to have nice things.

Do you live anywhere near where the Giants might come to play? Or maybe you could get him a giant gift basket full of Giants goodies?

Why not take him to go tailgating for a Giants game? You could invite buddies, BBQ its such a good time. We tailgate at Phillies games all the time and we never have tickets. Its just a fun time. He might really enjoy it.

nauticalstar420 agrees: I love tailgating, even more than sitting there watching the game sometimes!

He'll love those!! Do you guys live together? If so, do you maybe have a room you could convert into a "sports room"?

I wish, me and him actually just started talking about moving in together. Not quit sure yet. Like i said we are having alot of problems with him childrens mother, she hates me. And is trying to keep me away from his kids. I love his kids and would never do anything to hurt them. I dont know what her problem is. So we have to go to court soon. So has soon as that is all over with me and him are going to look into getting a place together. I hope anyway.

My sister is going through the same thing. Her husband has 3 kids and their mother is doing everything in her power to keep my sister away from the kids. I dont understand why, the kids love her and she loves them.

I hope everything turns out okay with court and everything else. Maybe since he is so stressed right now you could do something to help relieve his stress, such as treat him to a massage, or something along those lines.

Do you get to spend time with the children?

Maybe plan a special day for him and the kids. Is there a fun museum or aquarium nearby where you live?

i used to spend every weekend with them, until she started her crap. Now i can not see them until we go to court in the next couple of weeks. Me and him have both been under alot of stress about this, but alot more him then me, becasue he has to deal with her first hand. I just wish there was something i could do to cheer him up. He loves his children more then life it self.

What a witch! Some women LOVE to use the kids to interfere in their exes lives. It is just wrong. Those kids get denied another positive role model in their life. I'm so sorry that you guys have to deal with this woman's petty jealousy.

Maybe it would just be fun to talk about all the great, fun things you guys will do with the kids once everything goes great in court. Talking about the future may ease him and make him feel more positive about the situation.
