My boyfriend is not letting our relationship go farther.like telling his family.

Ok so my boyfriend (24) and I(20) have been together 5 months now and at first it was great he was fun and always wanted me around he even asked me to move in with him really early on, and I did. It was all fine untill recently I feel like every morning I give up, and every night when he comes home from work I smile and hold on, I know it's wrong to try to make it work when I know in my heart I will never be what he wants, because I am never going to be her, his ex of 6 yrs, they broke up about 2 yrs ago but he still can't let her go. As much as I try to be here for him and make this work, I can only ever be me. I guess it all comes down to how much I can put up with and I am about to break. He seems unable to move our relationship to any other level he wont say I love you or even tell his parents about me (they live far away.) But I just dont understand, I talk to him about this and if I am not what he wants why won't he just tell me when I ask? Why would he keep me around day after day if he doesnt want me here? If he can't see this going farther why can't he tell me when I ask him so I can move on with my life?

i know right!? same with my girl! she wont tell me anything! i ask her what she wants ill give her anything! and she refuses to let me know! if she just want to break up with me why wont she just let me know!? no she just wants"a break" or to "sepereate" im sorry but in healthy relation ships you dont just take breaks, theres no in the middle, its either you with me or you not. im sorry lol am i babbling!? sorry

umm look, talk to him about his ex, tell him that he needs to let go of her, shes gone and you are there for him, tell him that you wanna make it work, that you want to be better than her, better than she ever was! tell him if he keeps dwelling on her its going to tear him up inside, tell him to just let go, and if he cant let him know that you cant be in a relationship where he keeps looking back at the past. tell him you want a future with him. PEOPLE! JUST LET GO OF THE PAST! ITS OVER WITH ITS DONE! we live for the moment we live in the present! we hope for a better future but tomorrow is not promised! live for today! love for today! now its right now that matters! not back then,leave it burried dont digg it back up. just let the past go. its so easy........ just let it go.....
