quit claim & bankruptcy

I am thinking of doing a bankruptcy- my ex husband left me in bad shape- if My fiance does a quit claim and put me on as having interest in the property will he lose it if I go ahead with my bankruptcy case? I dont want him to lose the house over mistakes I made in my past.

If he quit claims the property to include you as an owner then it becomes an asset that the bankruptcy court has to take into account. he might not lose it, but it will affect your bankruptcy.
