fixer-upper more than I can handle

I've lived in my 1920 house for 10 yrs. My then-husband was going to take care of home maintainance, but he left in the 2nd yr. so it's all been on my shoulders & with one income. I can handle the mortgage, but the repairs are piling up & I no longer have the time, money, or ability to take care of this house (I'm 55). How can I get rid of it without adding more damage to my already poor credit? I'm just now behind by 2 pmts., but have been up-to-date all along otherwise. I'm ready to move to a nice apt. so I can do other things besides thinking about the half-done tile job in my shower or how unlevel the foundation is in the kitchen. I feel stuck! Thank you for any advice. |
