Where have you gone to find proof of ownership? The register of deeds in the county the land is located? The Title Company in that county or city?

Also, some counties have websites that provide public record information.

Ok this is easy, you go down to the county court house to the recorder of deeds. You ask to see the deed info and this will list who is the current owner and if there is any morgages or liens on the property.

You can then go to the county property tax department and see who is listed as the contact and who has been paying the property taxes, it will include a contact mailing address.

If you don't live in that area or do not want to do the search yourself, you can hire a title company or a legal research firm to do it for you

Quicker solution..find a friend with a real estate license, give them the address. They can go on the MLS, look up tax records and have info in 2 minutes. Good luck.

You can also go to www.nextace.com then key the property address into SearchQ box. If the property information is available in Search!Q data base, you can download the ownership information, tax record, deed and mortgage information within minutes.
