Broken Lease

I rented a house in Savannah Georgia for two years and signed three different leases with my landlord. I paid an $800 deposit. When I went to sign my third lease with my landlord I informed him that I would only be in Savannah for three more months. I asked for a month to month. He didn't do month to month rates and told me he would include a breaking the lease clause in my lease. I paid a $350 administration fee to break the lease. Now he is telling me that because I broke the lease I don't get my security deposit back. Is there anything that I can do? Or is this just a lesson learned?
Thanks
