I want half.

Me and my girlfriend broke up.She was real crazy. she was real abuser. i had to move out. So i want half of the depost back. that i paid for.The landlord is saying that i cant get half of it back that i have to wait till she moves out. but shes all ready got some one new there. Then the landlord try and say that i can be taken of the leas but i have to give up my right to the depost back is this far and can i do something like get a print out of my rights some where for free or some thing i just want my half back.Can some one plez help thank you

he is right no security back untill she is gone. make sure you are not still on the lease

Until the end of the term of the lease you signed, there is no refund of the deposit.

Even after the lease expires, and all the renters have moved out, there is still the possibility that other charges and or damages could result in there still being no refund of the deposit.

chances are you are not going to see the money if you already moved out and if your landlords are still getting money from your ex. it is money you would have to get from her if you want it!
