virginia renters rights

Asked Jul 4, 2012, 02:48 PM — 2 Answers
We rent land where our double wide sits. We have lived here for 26 years and just today the lady that owns the land (which we have never seen until today) showed up at our door and handed us a letter that says she is terminating our lease agreement. She wants us to move our house, out buildings and chain link fence in the next 90 days. Do we have any rights at all?

Sorry but you have no rights other than sufficient notice which you appear to have gotten. I assume you don't have a standing lease and are month to month tenants. You might be able to get more time to move, but that's all.

Have you asked the owner why she is cancelling your tenancy?
