Adding a name to a title

Hello Legal Experts,

My boyfriend of one month wants to add me to the title of his parent’s house. He inherited this house after his father's death and is a surviving relative along with his sister, who he is estranged from due to her misused of power of attorney during their father's illness. I was wondering are there any legal ramifications, of adding me to the title? Would I then be legally responsible for paying the taxes? What else could I be legally responsible for?

The home, which is situated in Melbourne Beach on Florida’s East coast, is paid for and holds no mortgage. While I think this is a noble gesture, I have only dated him for one month and am leery of this “free gift”. His purpose for putting me on the title is so that I “have a home” if something happens to him. Thank you for your help.

Signed, Looking a "gift horse" in the mouth

Assuming the home is in probate...he can not put you on title. If home is not in probate...any guy who wants to give you 1/2 of the value of his home after only dating a month....well...run run run....fast!!!!!
