    Eviction notice FL
    The house that I am renting at has problems with the refrigator and washer and dryer. The lease states that if certain things are wrong that I can withhold rent until they are taken care of,but after we sent a letter to the landlord they sent us a 3 day eviction notice. Not sure if I should just pay or not

    Does the lease specifically say you can withhold rent for these specific problems? Have you documented the problems?

    The 3 day notice is the FIRST step in an eviction. If you refuse to leave they have to go to court to obtain an eviction order. You will be entitled to present your case at a hearing. You show the judge your repeated requests to fix the problems and the lease clause that allows you to withhold rent and the landlord will be ordered to fix it.
