    How do I start my paper
    My professor in U.S. history asked us to write a 5-7 page paper on something that personal appealed to us from 17th-19th century. We have to write in either 1st or 3rd person, and include at least 10facts. EX. If I choose to I could pretend I was a civil war general, and I could write a diary or whatever about my experience. My question is I don't know how to start the paper or what topic would be good to choose. HELP:confused:

    First, start with something that interests YOU. You'll be the one writing. Second, start with an introduction. It always looks better in 3rd. (more professional) The introduction will either grab your audience or not.
