Property taxes brick siding

If the house has a very old wood siding that needs to be change , and if you install brick siding will taxes dramatically go up on your house ? Would it also go up if you put vinyl siding ?

When you pull a permit you are required to construct by their codes, it also triggers the assessors that you have a done an improvement which could alter your market value. If this project would make your home sell for more $$$ then your taxes would go up accordingly. Go up how much? Brick would probably raise the price higher than vinly but an appraiser or assessor would have to make a judgement call. I personnally would not worry to much
