    Leasing Laws with a Roommate
I need to get out of a lease that I just started with a roommate. We were living as roommates in a house an decided to get a really nice apartment. We signed a 13 month lease. Its been about a month and he is eating all of my food now and not helping with all of the bills because he is working as much due the weather. It has come to a point where one of us needs to leave. He said he's not going anywhere and basically told me "see ya." I am willing to go, however I am on this lease now. I live in California... does anyone have any advice on how I can get off this lease?:( :(

Find a new roommate to take your place. Either that or see if the landlord will accept a buyout.
