lanlord picking on tenant

I live in a 20-30 year old apt building not very well taken care of. I had a fire caused from the stove, no renters insurance now the insurance is coming after me. Besides all of that they are billing me for fixing the garbage disposal saying it was caked with grease and I know for sure I've never put grease in it. I dont know what to do.

Does someone know what the classifications are for normal wear and tear which in the lease there responsible.

It says iam responsible for all necessary repairs what does that mean.

And it says iam responsible for all legal fees caused by me,what are those legal fees.

I live in St.louis, MO if that helps
