Landlord issues

I have lived in my dulpex in Leesburg Georgia for three years. I am on a month to month lease. I signed the lease for month to month with a new landloard in March of 06. I paid a pet deposit of 200 dollars and at the time I had one dog. I got another dog a few months ago and she said I had to get rid of it or I had to move out. Can she do this as long as I paid a pet deposit? Please help

Hello lahoma:

Yup. You're on a month to month rental. It's not a LEASE. It's true, she probably can't prevent you from having a dog, but she CAN put you out with 30 day's notice, for any reason she wants - or no reason at all.

Yes - you should have gotten permission for the 2nd dog.

yes, they can, most likely they are ok with on pet, but know tha more can do more damage. And since you are on a month to month, they can end your rental any time they wish.
