How to proceed with house in divorce

ScottGem...you may recognize me--same situation as from Family Law site.

Divorce in progress. Parents of wife hold mortgage to house. Wife has been responsible for making payments, while husband paid other bills. Wife has moved out, and now claims no responsibility for house payments. Parents say they will sue him if he does not pay them. How does this work, there is no mortage with a bank per se, but a written agreement does exist. Who is responsible for the house payment, and who is responsible for the selling of the house and repayment of the loan?
