    How many days notice do I have after being to told to leave
    I live in a house with my girlfriend in Virginia, I have been living there for about a year, she says that she wants me to leave the house, how days do I have after she told me I have to leave.

    Who holds the lease?

    Is this a split relationship?

    Was she there first?

    Can you not come to an amicable agreement?

    I would just tell her that I need 2 weeks to find somewhere to live. That's reasonable.

    She cannot file a lawsuit to evict you unless she has given you 30 days written notice and you have failed to leave after the 30 days is up.
