Eviction or Unlawful Detainer?

Hello, and thanks in advance to anyone who can help. My boyfriend moved into my home with me 6 months ago (it is a single family home, I am the sole owner). The relationship is now over and I have asked him to leave. He states that I will have to evict him. We live in Florida, and have no written agreement - before he moved in he agreed to pay me $100.00 a week and has done so. I have an eviction packet but much of the emphasis in the documents is on non-payment of rent. Tensions are heated at home and I want him out the quickest way possible. Thank you for your time.

you can give him notice to move just because you wish to end the rental agreement. You give him official notice that you are ending the rental agreement. If in doubt pay an attorney a couple hundred dollars to get it done for you.

If there is no agreement and he was your boyfriend not just a renter and the house is in your name, maybe you can call the police and have him removed from your home.

Give him 15 days notice to vacate (you can type or write this up yourself)...If he refused to leave, follow up in court with an eviction (you won't need an attorney for this). He is a occupant and needs to be treated as such. BTW...stop accepting his weekly payments once you give notice.
