    Evicting a family member
    I would like to find out how I can safely and least painfullly evict a family member (24 years old son) with addiction problem, not serious about finding a job, and very abusive to other family members.

    You can't "evict" unless he is paying you rental. If he isn't you simply give him a date by which time he has to be out. If he doesn't leave, then he is a trespasser and can be locked out and his belongings removed.

    There is no peaceful way to move him ou if he will not move. You can offer to pay his rent someplace else for a couple of months, that would be peaceful if he will go. But in the end, if he just refuses to go, you will change the locks, sit his stuff out and deal with it.
