We misread our lease, we thought we only had to give a 30 day notice. We actually gave a 45 day notice. ( we purchased a home) However, our property managment company said we are liable for the rent until they find a new tenant. Which we completely understand. My issue is that in the last 20 days, they have made no attempt to list the property on their web site or in the paper. Can they just sit back and do nothing since we are reasonable till the end of the lease. ( we have one more year)
Any advice would be great.

No, but they can follow thier procedure, if that includes cleaning and other things first before listing, it could take a few weeks to list .

Please understand that you are obligated to exactly what the lease says, just as they are.
