Drunk boyfriend wont move out!

I live in california and have been living with my boyfriend for 2 years. He has really turn into a drunk and he finally told me he would be moving out fathers day per my request. For some reason he went to get his deposit back from a room he was going to rent and told me he heard about this 2 month rule to be vindictive. He says I have to give him 30 days notice and then if he doesnt move out I have to go to the courthouse and do an official eviction. I cant live with him for one more day! Cant I just put all his stuff outside the door and change the locks? I am afraid that he will just break a window and state he lives here! Please someone give me some advice because I am miserable..he is a fall down drunk everyday 7 days a week!
