can a judgment from the past effect a new home loan in north carolina?

I am currently trying to buy a home with my current wife. I have a judgment on an auto from my previous marriage against me and my ex-wife. Can it be attached to this new loan in the state of North Carolina?

Yes; in fact, it may prevent you from getting a loan if it is on your credit report.

I would be surprised if you can get the new loan with a judgement out there, but yes, as long as the judgement is still valid they can do many things with it.
