Can a landlord refuse my rent
Can my landlord refuse my rent if I refuse paying a 19.00 fee? And can she raise the rent from 549 to 625? It's a new landlord and in the middle of the lease. I had an amendment for three days to pay the rent and she will not accept this.

... I had an amendment for three days to pay the rent...
I don't undertand what you are saying here. Do you mean you were late and were given a 3-day "pay or quit" notice?

But no, if you have not violated the lease, by being late with the rent or something, the landlord cannot raise the rent.

You can't impose your own amendment on a lease... no they would not have to recognise or follow it. They own the property, they write the lease (within locally allowed statutes).

If the fee is part of the lease... not paying it means you would be making a partial payment... a landlord is not required to accept less than a full payment. Not making a full payment would put you in breach of the lease.

As far as them raising rents during a lease... you are going to have to give more specific information than you have. Everything depends on what's written in the official lease. Typically there are not rent increases during a one year lease... multi-year leases might have increases of specific ammounts written into it as far as how much and when. But it would have to be in writing.

If a previous lease has run its course.. and you are month to month now... then they can raise it.
