I have a similar situation with my son. Our adult children are forcing us to do things and live a life - not of our own choosing - how dare them. Right now, I'm sitting here contemplating my next move! I've given him every (and more) chance in the book. I honestly feel I'm being controlled by a criminal - someone I don't know.. He, also, refuses to pay rent... He works only 3 days a week (his choice) - just enough to get by, just enough for his spending money. He gave me $46.00 the first week in November, but I had asked him to pay both the electric and cable bills - totaling approx. $210.00 -- I had to pay the electric bill - I waited until the day before the cut off day. I'm so tired of this tug of war. He gets plenty of free time, basically has no bills and has a great room at the end of the house - with his own entrance (was a carport). I, so, want him to do right - but he just won't. It's only he and I. I read taking legal action because I truly believe he will steal me blind or worse... I hope the best for your situation. Like my son, she will have to be forced to leave. I just can't imagine doing this to my parents - I never would have -- it never would have come to this point!
