    Why do psychics lie
I've been told I would get the job I had a interview for by 3 psychics I haven't gotten yet, where do they get off hurting people,it's been almost a week now and no reply from the job I need a real psychic to tell me the truth please.

That's because I would say that 99.9% of Psychics are not really psychics.

What you need to do is stop wasting money on them. It's a scam to get you to spend money! If you have not heard anything yet, call! Simple! Call them and say that you just wanted to check in, see how things are going, and see if they have made any decision yet.

If you want to throw away some cash, at least buy a lotto ticket. Then there is a chance of something good happening from it ;)

So you mean to tell me you never have had a psychic before that told the truth? You mean to tell me they all are just in it for the money?

You mean say something really vague that a future event can fit into the vague 'prediction'? Yes!

First of all your applying for the wrong jobs.I fill that anyone who has gift should not charge! They are here to help. This may sound strange but applying for a walmart , don't laugh may open some doors for you. I see you moving up. This is not easy. You will find work, but you need to lower your standards. I see your job having college benefits, you need to go for it! I see you manger of your own store, and then district! I also see a move coming after christmas. Take care

Tell you the truth? They tell you what they feel will keep you coming back or what they guess will happen from what they hear you saying to them. They hope it will come out right and if not, they will have some great mystic answer for you.

The thing you are not understanding it appears is that almost all 99.99999 percent of the so called ones are fake, they are not lying to you, since they don't know what is going to happen, they are scamming you, which is different from a real lie, To lie they would have to really know what was going to happen.

Lets look for example at corriehac answer above,
    1. you are applying for the wrong job, I guess so, wrong since you are not being hired?? Not wrong if that is the type of job you want.

    2. apply at walmart, OK they are normally short of help, hire mostly less than 30 hour per week employee to not pay benefits, so yes, but then a person working any job has a better chance of getting hired, no magic ball needed there.

    3. lower standards, OK if you are not being hired look for a job lower, sort of a normal HR answer

And some vague date to when things happen.

Not once do I see someone say, OK on Nov 14, a women named sara will offer you a job in marketing.

Why? Because they don't see the future.

There are a few with some gifts, I knew one lady, she warned me about someone with a weapon under his seat, gave me a exat house number ( no street name) with the exception that he had a gun, not a knife ( big difference when the gun is pulled) So it can happen but with most it would be a lot more exact and most do not do it on cue,

Lol. Nice post Chuck. Couldn't agree more.

Its always vague info, and always just simple sound advice. Never specific. I have never met anyone that continually had advice or knew things... but once in a while. My mother in law had the same dream every night for one week... that the pope would be shot. The night the dream stopped was when he was shot (back in... 1981? )

Anyway... the people making money off this are generally the ones who are scamming you.

Psychics can't always predict the future. If you find one that says they can definitely predict your future and that they are certain that future will happen, take your money and run the other way.

I'm an amateur psychic medium, having trained with psychics in SNU (Spiritualists National Union) with 40+ years of experience. But most geniune psychics these days do not like predicting people's futures, as they feel it's up to the freewill of the individual to choose their own future/destiny.

I agree with this, and have only done mediumship readings (contacting the deceased for loved ones) and psychic readings involving all aspects of peoples' lives except the future. I'm generally better at the past, and that's what most people come to me to talk about.

Truth is that some psychics just can't answer certain types of questions. For people to totally not believe in "psychics" is a shame. Because these gifts truly exist, but some psychics see dead people and some can actually answer your question. I think it depends mainly on what they have more experience or feel more comfortable with answering. So it may not be that you are contacting fakes but that they are experienced in only a certain level but for the money they will tell you that they can help you, even if they know damn well they can't, in that subject. I had a friend who claimed to be psychic, and she was so interested in the money and fame she thought she would get from it that she actually told me that there was nothing wrong with a little "white lie" as long as it makes the person asking feel good, and she initially receives fame from it. I quickly had to let go of our friendship because this is not a game and it gives all of us that are psychic bad names.

Why spend time with someone who 'might' be able to help you.

Putting belief in another sets you up for a let down.Belief in your self(the basis for self esteem, saleability, and so forth) will get you further in the here and now, rather than someone else's opinion of who you are and where your going.

How did the interview go? Was the interviewer impressed with your presentation?Did you leave feeling you gave it a good showing?

These questions are WAY more important than believing what a psychic can say.

While I have little contact with the psychic world, I do have plenty of contact with THIS world,if you can, you do.If you can't you follow what others do.

I totally agree with KBC at the same time this was a psychic related question and I answered it from that perspective. KBC definitely offers great advice you have to believe in yourself to get anywhere in life.

Yep even the psychic advertisements have a disclaimer "For entertainment purposes only'' Meaning they are not accountable for being wrong. As Fr Chuck and others said they talk vague and don't give specifics. You say the psychic said you would get the job. Did they actually mean a specific job with a specific company that you already applied for or did they mean SOME future job that you have not yet applied for. There is too much free will and variables and very little specifics so 99.9 times most people are getting nothing more than the fly by night scam psychics.

For some people "working" as a Psychic is like hitting a gold mine. And all they are thinking is, "I can say whatever I want to say, and they will believe me. How easy is that!" That's why , if you do believe in getting psychic support make sure they prove themselves to you and always do your research.

Yeah I agree they can say whatever they want because it can always come back to you that you made a different choice that led you away from the path the psychic took.
Also with people like Sylvia Brown, they are telling you things like 'they are watching over you and that is why you feel an unusual peace or presence sometimes'. Yeah that is so general and vague that it validates everything else to people that are desperate to believe. "
I believe many psychics like Sylvia really do have abilities to see things, but I believe that often where they are not 'seeing' something they fill in the blanks with their own thoughts.
They do it to make it look better, sort of like more drama more interesting.
Sylvia, I believe is real, but has been wrong or throwing in her own generalized thoughts here and there.

Yeah she said that a woman from East Pittsburgh, Pa. was dead and they found her years later living happily in Florida.
I also heard of others that she claimed were dead and they weren't.

I feel terrible for the people who get fed false hope by someone who's full of BS.
