Last night I dreamed that my family and I were taken into Nazi
concentration camps. We were separated by gender. My husband went to
one camp, and my daughter and I went to another camp. At first, I
thought I was a young woman in the dream. This Nazi soldier tried to
molest me and I tried to push him away. He retaliated by hitting my
face, then saying, "I will do with you as I please pretty one." I
moved aside with the others in fear. Then I realized the young woman
was my daughter as I am too old to be her. The Nazi soldier continued
to rape her repeatedly over the course of several months, and I could
do nothing to stop him. I tried to comfort her, saying, "Perhaps if
you get pregnant with his child, they will feed you and take better
care of you."

This nightmare was so frightening I was afraid to go back to sleep. A
little about me: I'm a 50ish college instructor and mother of a 20
year old college student. In the dream, she was age 23.

The only thing I can come up with is that you are feeling sort of like your hands are tied and you are feeling you are losing control or losing any say in your daughters life.

Actually, I feel like I'm losing control in my own house and my own life. I feel like my daughter is trying to run my household and life.
