being "creeped out"

Do you think being "creeped out" or having a bad feeling about something or someone is a sign of psychic ability, or could it just be explained as especially intuitive or perceptive? I had often felt creepy about a person or a place without any evidence that the person had done anything wrong, or that the place is "bad". Several times in my life, I've met people who absolutely gave me the creeps, even though these people were perfectly friendly and kind to me. Everyone else loved them and thought I was crazy. But then later on those people who I found creepy turned out to be no good.

I even get this feeling online sometimes, and from other forum members here. Usually the members that creep me out are eventually banned or don't stick around long. But when I am first having the bad feeling, they haven't done anything wrong. It's weird and I'm just curious what everyone thinks.

different levels and I hate to use the word psychic ability, since everyone starts thinking abut reading minds, telling the future and the such.

But often we can be in tune with something that is not really aware to everyone. And some people can have more ability than others, my wife for example has dreams that normally come true ( saved my life once where she saw that a person at a certain address would have a weapon ( she thought knife) hiden. Well a couple of months latter I was at a house with that house number and guess what , well it was a gun, but hidden right were she said it was.

I tried hard this weekend to plan a get away weekend for her and I, No one knew about it except me, well she dreamed where we were staying and even where we were eating, just drives me crazy at times.

But yes I will make choices often based on feelings like that.

Okay, Question? Who is creeping you out? You said you feel that from even forum members here. I personally have always seemed to sense things more about people. I have always been sensitive to what others are feeling and I have had many dreams that would come true and other situations that most people would call E.S.P. Being able to tune into other peoples feelings or have good intuition I do believe that many people have that inside themselves, but not everybody listens to it. I hope I did not creep you out?
There is something that concerns me sometimes, is I have a tendancy to over think or worry about things and I believe that makes other people uncomfortable but for me being a deep thinker and sensitive to other peoples feelings is why I am able to read people. Maybe it is body language, or the way they right or I just try my best to go with my first thought that comes to mind. I also believe that we all have energy, and that we all effect people around us and others can have that effect on each other. It is up to us to just let in positive energy and share that positive energy with others. It would make for such a peaceful world to live in. So do I believe that it is phychic ability or very good instincts I would say yes. At the same time, I do not believe it is 100 percent all the time.

Joe

Just my pennies worth. The best judge of character are animals.Cats, dogs, have that "natural" ability to beware of people, and surroundings.Animals are maybe more "in-tune" with nature, and the natural "feelings" of karma (sorry Need),no pun intended.
I never make snap judgements about people I have only just met,but very quickly I can tell whether I like them or not.As for the forum.I dont know. Here we are typing away in cyberspace, and thats that.Maybe though through the way "brief" members write, sometimes they might get "one's back-up" on certain occassions, but noone has ever "freaked" me out.Annoyed yes,but such is forum life.

HI,
As another said, Dogs can sense whether they like someone or not, the first time they meet them! They know if the person is friendly; whether the person is acting "not friendly" or not.
Maybe you have the same type of perception. Maybe it's your ability to read something online, know then from the way it's written, what's said, etc, about the future of a person online.
I do know many people who meet someone for the first time, then later say "I don't like him" or her, but really can't "pinpoint" why. It's just a feeling.

well, i know that whenever i push away my warning feelings about people i met, i "pay" later on. there has never been an occasion when i pushed away such feelings and haven't been sorry about it. it's not a "creepy" feeling - it's just a sort of knowledge, it's hard for me to describe it.
i can recall 2-3 times when it was a real "NOOOOOOOOO!" scream. the 1st i remember happened when i was about
4 yrs. old! i'm probably not sensitive enough, and i tend to gratify people with a lot of "credit" in advance (for which it happens that later on, i do "pay") -by "not being sensitive enough" i mean that I haven't had such
a feeling with people here, at this forum.
there was only one person, whose picture made me feel that something was not quite right- so i followed some of her links and i found out i wasn't mistaken: the point is, THERE WAS A PICTURE, so it's not exactly the same thing
i hope i haven't given you the creeps, but if i did, i promise to stay away!
bye,
Millie

orange agrees: Thanks Millie! And LOL no you haven't given me the creeps, either! It doesn't happen often here on the forum.

I try to pay attention to that inner voice, but as milliec says when I don't I pay later. I do believe it is within us all in varying degrees to read people and places.Whether or not we pay attention to it is another matter.

Ugh sorry talaniman, I got as far as your post and was then told I have given out too much reputation in the last 24 hours. So I'll have to try and remember to come back here later!

I agree, I have learned to pay attention to that "inner voice" (that is a good way of describing it, btw!)... if I don't, as Millie mentioned, I usually pay later. And I have noticed that since I started paying attention to it, it has actually gotten stronger. I guess probably that's something like the "use it or lose it" philosophy.

And to reiterate, no one who posts regularly to the forum or answers my questions regularly creeps me out, haha. So don't worry about that. It's only occasionally, and when it happens I try to "stay away" from that poster as much as possible.

No I know one that really creeped me out as for as a psychics go.

I used to work as a stage hypnotist back in my younger days, ( I used hypnosis in my practice and counseling back in those days)

Well there as a psychic on before me, they came over and told me how old I was, how many kids I had, thier ages and sex and so on. It was freaky.

You were a hynotist? LOL, that sounds cool. You've certainly led a very interesting life! I'm one of those people who can't be hypnotized apparently. I've tried a couple of times, both in a fun context and more seriously in counseling I had a while back.

That guy you mentioned does sound creepy. I don't like it when total strangers suddenly ask me a bunch of personal questions, either.
