Legit lender or scam artist

I have been trying to receive a loan. I was approached by someone Raymond Brent from the UK who says he is a lender. He gave me a licence #638.BC/NH 088765 and register #193222. How can I verify if this is truly a legit lender or scam.

How did you get in contact with these people? Do their emails contain many spelling errors?

Ask him for the loan docs so they can be reviewed by an attorney.

I am unable to get a loan through the banks so I had put a post out. There were no spelling errors but I know there are alot of scams out there.

A post on Craigslist? Why not just ask him for the contact information of the UK department of government that is responsible for issuing these license numbers, say you were contacted by a known fraudulent lender and are hesitant to go forward without proof they are a responsibly run company.

If they take offence or give reasons why they cant give you the phone number of the government office then its most likely a scam.
