Property Ownership?

How can I find out who owns a piece of property? I have looked on the web but the sites all cost money? Any info would be very helpful .

Chad

In some localities the local tax office (Assessor or Collector) will provide the info. I usually go there first and then to the County.

You can merely go to the court house and look up the deed as to who owns it, You can go to the courthouse to the property tax office and see who is paying the property tax

In some states the property tax office has its info online, but you can call the office and see if it hsa info online
