align print cartridges message

after installing new cartriges in my hp 1315v all in one i keep getting an "align print cartridges" window. i've done this, following their instructions, numerous times to no avail. i've removed & reinstalled cartridges also, but it didn't help. any suggestions? thanks, noboat

Hello,

Check the expiration date on the cartridges. Apparently, the expiration date is also embedded in the cartridge memory and gets communicated to the printer. From what I have read, if the installation date is more recent than the expiration date, the expired cartridges will not install. However, if they are expired, you may be able to use this workaround:
