When are you suppose to ovulate?
Im trying to fall pregnant. I did ivf and was unsuccessful. But things have improved and I think I can fall pregnant naturally. My problem is now that my period is never the same. I am 29 days more or less, and the test said I should start testing from day 12 . I started on day 11 and today is day 14 and still nothing. Don't know what is going on

By testing, do you mean you are using OPK's and checking for ovulation? If so, those can be fairly accurate but three scenarios are possible. Either you haven't tested properly, you haven't ovulated yet, or your LH levels are too low to register properly on the test.

Some women naturally produce lower amounts of LH that aren't detected by OPK's. That doesn't mean you haven't ovulated it just means the tests don't work for you.

I read the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler that was a tremendous help. I recommend it as you learn about tracking ovulation and other fertility concerns.

Also, keep in mind that it can take a few months of testing to notice a pattern. You may want to start testing a few days before what is recommended on the test through a few days after... or until you do notice a positive. Many women do not ovulate within the norm, and being off by just a day can make all the difference.

Be sure that you follow the directions carefully as well.

I second the recommendation of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility"... excellent resource when trying to conceive.

May I ask how long you have been trying to become pregnant and how long you have been testing? What has changed since you tried IVF?

I have been trying to conceive for 7 years.
Taking Charge of Your Fertility"... where would I get this?
The IVF didn't work, because my husband have a problem with his sperm count, got slow swimmers.
We worked hard for 2 years now, to sort this problem out, and with a bit of zinc he came right, he is also a semi paraplegic that's why he got this problem, but although the slow swimmers, he manage to ejaculte as well.
Now I am very fertile, the doc took 14 eggs from me with the ivf, I had only 3 potentiol though , but was too weak to carry on growing inside me so my body rejected it.

But now my cycle is irregular, and 1st I don't even know why? So I tackle problem for proble, and think I don't fall pregnant is because my ovulation timing.
I have only been testing my 1st week this week, I'm on day 15 today, still nothing.
    Getting depressed here.

Since your husband's initial semen analysis, has he gone back to be checked again? If so, were the results favorable?

You produced a good number of eggs with help prior to the IVF, but do you know if you are producing and ovulating on your own? Has this been tested recently?

If you and your husband both haven't had recent testing, that would be the first step to take. You could have very good timing, but if everything else is not as it needs to be, pregnancy won't happen.

With an irregular cycle, ovulation testing kits become more challenging as it can be difficult to know when to start. You may find that you will have better luck if you buy several tests and use them throughout a few cycles to see if you catch a positive.
