what's the age of legal sex in NC

is it okay for a 17 yr old to get pregnant by a 24 yr old man? is it legal for the guy to walk away if he doesn't want the girl anymore after the girl got abortion? what about if the girl want to press charges because she want to be with the man?

1. sorry but there is no law that a man can not just walk away, many do, and this is why we warn and warn and warn young 16 and 17 year old girls about older men, But the man is always free to just walk away from a girl no matter of abortion or no abortion,

And to be honest it is not right for the girl to try and use threats of police just because the guy left her, unless she was really raped,

But the age of consent is 16 in NC, so there was no actual crime

thanks for the answer. what if the guy is threaten to not leave the girl, if he does the girl's family would press charges. it wasn't a rape, the girl consented because 17 it's old enough to know what she was doing.

What proof do they have to press charges?
What would they charge him with?
If they want to charge him with rape when it wasn't, but rather for spite of leaving her I doubt it would hold up in court since apparently they don't have much proof on their side.
He is in no way legally bound to the girl and if he doesn't want to stay then why hold him against his will?

Sorry, there's no case or crime here. If the age of consent is 16, you were legally having sex with him. If he wants to leave/break up, that's his choice. If you press charges strictly because he wants to leave, you will be laughed out of the courthouse.

Sorry to be so blunt, but it's the truth.

bbelle2008 agrees: the thing is it wasn't even a relationship, just a 1 night stand that's how it happened. thank you for your answer

If you cry rape when no rape actually occurred, I hope that every woman who HAS been raped in your county gets the chance to beat the living daylights out of you.

Sorry he left you--learn a lesson from it and move on.

One night stand or not consent is consent and why would somebody threaten for a guy to even stay with a girl over a one night stand!?
If you want a long term relationship go about it the right way. We do not do shot gun weddings anymore in this country.
