I want to take a dna test before I pay child support

Back in 2001, I was extremely stupid and sign a birth certicate for a child that I was unsure of being mines. I moved on thinking that the mother would eventually make the real father step up to the plate. I live in another state and have kids with my wife. Now I receive a notice saying I have to pay child support asap. How do I get DNA testing done? If I am the father I will take full rights and do want is right. I just want to be sure..Please help.

Get a lawyer and request a dna test through the courts. You'll need to get a lawyer so you can do everything legally, and there aren't any immediate reprocussions.

Well this may not be as easy as it sounds, it will all depend on where you live, In some US states, if you are the listed father on the birth certificate and do not contest it within a certain time frame you are not allowed under law to contest it after a time period.

So you need a attorney quickly.
