So, the day my period ended I ended up having unprotected sex, and a week later started feeling really sick to my stomach, I could smell everything, I had horrible headaches, I couldn't find anything I wanted to eat, I was moody all the time, all the typical signs, except no missed period. I took a pregnancy test, obviously too early to tell, and it came up negative. About 4 weeks after I would have conceived, I took off the birth control patch I was wearing, and two days later started bleeding very heavily. I thought it was perhaps a miscarriage, so I went to my gyno and got an ultrasound. She said that there was nothing, and that the bleeding could have been from taking off the patch. After this, my moods were still funny, but my sense of smell returned to normal, and even though I still felt sick sometimes, the "symptoms" pretty much went away. When I was in the doctor's office, she gave me the implant, Implanon, and I've been on that for about 2 months now. However, I've recently started gaining weight, I have cravings for certain foods, my breasts feel really tender sometimes (to the point of pain) I have horrible headaches, always want to sleep, constantly need to urinate, get sharp pains in my stomach area, and sometimes feel nauseous. Plus, there's other things like thinking all these babies I see on the street are adorable (normally, not so much...) and wanting to watch movies like Knocked Up and Baby Mama, another thing that's normally not so usual for me... If I was pregnant, I would be around 15 weeks along now. There's pretty much no way that I can get my hands on a pregnancy test, so does anyone have any suggestions? Please, please, please help me! I'm so desperate... Any suggestions at all?
Some birth controls work by tricking your body into thinking you are already pregnant.
It doesn't sound like the side effects are very pleasant and there are a variety of birth controls on the market. Go back to your physician and find one that works for you.
Many times PMS symptoms can mimic pregnancy symptoms.
You may also be experiencing side effects from the Implanon.
I am referring you to a site that gives a good list of side effects from the Implanon.

Why can't you get your hands on a pregnancy test?? If you are ashamed or can't afford one then you should not be having sex.
As the others have said, along with your doctor, it is unlikely that you are pregnant. When you take the patch off, you're supposed to start bleeding! That's how it works. As for the way you're feeling lately, your body just may be having a difficult time adjusting to the hormones in your new birth controls methods. (I can't get a test because they don't sell them where I live, which means that I would have to go an hour on a train to the nearest town to get one. I live in a really secluded area, that's why it'd be difficult. Also, sorry I sounded like an airhead, I know that those aren't actual symptoms, just thought it was really strange. Thanks for the advice though.)

I'm sorry, I find that hard to believe that there's not a pregnancy test available in the whole town you live in. They are sold everywhere. Drug stores/pharmacies, grocery stores, department stores, and even some discount chains like Dollar Tree and Family Dollar. You're saying you don't have any stores in your town?? So how do you get aspirin? Tampons? Food? Prescriptions? Toiletries?
I just don't believe that.
What about mail? Do you get mail in your secluded town? Maybe someone can mail one to you. We should hope you aren't pregnant because I guess there are no doctors there either.
Many women find that using hormone based birth control with cause their bodies and minds to experience symptoms that range anywhere from pregnancy to menopause. Maybe its time to try some other method. Anything is possible but I would be surprised if you are pregnant.

The U.S. isn't the only country that sells pregnancy tests. If you are really wondering what's going on or if you're pregnant then you'd be more proactive in getting an answer. And you really expect us to believe that the same pharmacy where you pick up your birth control patches doesn't sell pregnancy tests??
